We've had a whirlwind vacation so far. It's been a lot of fun introducing Andy to so many family and friends. We left Wichita Thursday morning, only to make it to Warrenton, Missouri to stay the night. That's about an hour west of St. Louis. But, Abby and Daddy got to play in the pool, and Andy slept all night in his playpen. He did so well traveling too.
On our way to Paducah from Mt. Vernon, we really noticed the wind damage they had in Illinois. Then we started seeing the aftermath of the ice storm once we got into Kentucky. And it was much more evident as we drove to Mayfield that night. We met up with Susie Williams, Teresa's best friend she grew up with, in Mt. Vernon for a nice visit. McDonald's will never be the same after we spent almost 4 hours there. From there we met up with Bill, Jennie & Colin Hughes for some fun at Noble Park in Paducah. Bill and Tom used to work together at WGCF. Bill now manages both WGCF and WBEL. Abby and Colin had tons of fun, especially at O'Charley's afterwards.
We eventually made it to Farmington to Tom's stepmom's house. Jackie's still in Florida, but we thoroughly trashed the joint in her absence. We'll see her later on next week. Abby even got her picture made with a very special friend that lives at MeMe's (Jackie's) house.
